I’m Luca Mariani, an independent professional working at the intersection of project management, technology and business operations.

My path combines a technical background with years of experience leading projects, teams and organisations. It has taught me that technical understanding, organisational skills and a strong focus on execution only work when they work together.

Successful projects need more than good ideas: they need clear objectives, effective coordination, sound decisions and consistent attention to results.

To govern projects I use different methodologies depending on the context: from classic waterfall project management to the Agile and SAFe® frameworks, which I have also applied to non-software projects, and ITIL® principles for service management.

Through Gainline, I work alongside businesses to navigate complexity, align people and technology, and turn plans into tangible outcomes.
